Cocktail Friday: Johnny Walker Cocktails for the Stylish Man

With all the stress of work the week, many of us could use a drink. Let the go of annoying sounds of co-workers and the horrible bosses nagging in your ear, and celebrate with a cocktail on us. Friday is here.

We reached out to mixologist Nick Bennett, here in NYC to provide us some of his inspiration behind some of his cocktails.

“This recipe draws inspiration from the classic cocktail the Godfather, which is made using Scotch and amaretto. This drink has little more kick to it as the Scotch is not lost behind the modifying spirits.”


1-ounce Johnnie Walker Black Label

½ ounce Coffee Liqueur

¼ ounce Cherry Herring

2 dashes Bittermen’s Mole Bitters Cherry and Orange Twists for Garnish 


1.      Add all ingredients into a stirring glass filled with ice.

2.      Gently stir to chill liquid.

3.      Strain into Double Old Fashioned glass filled with ice.

4.      Garnish with cherry and orange twists. 

Ideal Serving Glass:

1-ounce Johnnie Walker Black Label

¼ ounce Green Chartreuse

¼ ounce Luxardo Maraschino

¾ ounce Fresh Lime Juice

½ ounce Simple Syrup Cherry for Garnish


  1. Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake vigorously and strain into Nick and Nora glass.
  3. Garnish with a cherry.

1 1/2-ounce Johnnie Walker Double Black

½ ounce Honey Syrup (1:1 Honey to Water) Pellegrino Grapefruit Soda

Grapefruit Twist for Garnish


  1. Add honey syrup and Johnnie Walker Double Black to a Collins glass filled with
  2. Top with grapefruit soda and
  3. Garnish with a grapefruit

1-ounce Johnnie Walker Select Cask Rye

¼ ounces Drambuie

¼ ounce Zwack or Unicum Plum Amaro

1 dash of Angostura® aromatic bitters Lemon and Orange Twists for Garnish


  1. Build ingredients in a mixing glass with ice
  2. Gently stir for 30-40
  3. Strain into a Nick and Nora
  4. Twist lemon peel to release oils and discard, repeat with an orange twist.
