They Say: “Savane® is the leader in performance, comfort, and innovation. Today’s career wear must work around the clock, just like you do. From clean khakis to no iron grab-and-go dress pants, suit separates, and shirts, you’ll be ready to get down to business with Savane®.”
The Test: At a glance, these trousers appear to be like any other pants you would find at your local department stores like Kohl’s or JCP, but what gives Savane the advantage is their motion stretch fabric, Activeflex. Activeflex is a moisture wicking microfiber material that helps the body cool and dry. Along with the Activeflex technology, each trouser comes equipped with a comfort waist that expands up to 3-inches for all day comfort.
I test drove these trousers last Saturday. I knew I had a few errands to run and needed a pair of trousers that could take me from my errands to my dinner without looking too casual. With all of the stretching and bending down I had to do during the day, these pants stood up to the test. These trousers are EXTREMELY flexible. The main concern I had was looking like I had yoga pants on.
What I Say: I will say this, “know your size or get them tailored!” I ordered a 34/30 and after I took in the waist, tapered the body of the trouser, and shorten the length of the pants to get my preferred fit, I could have just gone with a 32/30 instead. Stay away from the pleated options. Even though pleats have been making a comeback, since these are a unique breed of trousers, I recommend sticking with the flat front style for a modern look. If you are looking for a pair of inexpensive trousers to fit your active lifestyle, Savane is a solid and affordable option.
