Get Lifted With Atkins

Get Lifted With Atkins

Atkins Nutritionals, Inc. recently launched a new line of low-carb, high protein bars and drinks called, Lift.

The new Atkins Lift line doesn’t target their traditional weight loss customers. Instead, Atkins is going after the fitness enthusiasts’ community by providing 20 grams of whey protein in each product. Whether you are heading to the gym or starting your daily grind, the Atkins Lift line provides consumers with the right amount of fuel to keep their energy levels lifted throughout the day. I had the opportunity to test out both options. While both are solid choices, I am leading more towards the ready-to-drink beverage on this one. Here is why.

Protein bars will always be a problem to get right as far as taste. I have tried many protein bars and they all tend to fall short in taste. Does this mean the Atkin’s Lift bar is a total waste because of the taste? No, everyone has a preference when it comes to anything, and this is no exception. Plus, the bars come in a variety of flavors: Chocolate Brownie with Almonds, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Peanut Butter with Chocolate Chips and Salted Caramel Crunch you can choose from that works best for your palate. If you are more of a ready-to-drink kind of person, then you will enjoy this option.

Once you get pass the 1-to 2-grams of net carbs, zero grams of sugar and fat that’s inside the drink, you will notice it is really good. I tried the orange flavor* and it had enough sugar for me to enjoy it without wanting more. Most people associate if something has more sugar and carbs it will enhance the flavor. In most cases this is true, but a true enthusiast understands the benefits a drink like this will have on their body.

If you are tired of your overly sugary, and carbohydrate pack protein drink or bars, then you should look in the sports/nutrition aisle.

*Atkins Lift Protein Drinks are available in three varieties: Lemon, Orange, and Berry.
