Saturday May 2nd marks the day of big hats, bright colors and horses racing to the finish line. Yep, Kentucky Derby is this Saturday and like many of you I cannot wait for this day. It is the perfect reason for women to wear the largest hat known to mankind, for men to finally sport those vibrant colored bow-ties without looking foolish, and to embrace the the sounds of the crowds cheering for their favorite jockey.
In the spirit of the “Fastest two minutes in history”, we partnered with G.H. Mumm to bring you some Kentucky Derby style inspiration for the big day. In 1827 G.H. Mumm was started by three brothers, Jacobus, Gottlieb and Phillip Mumm. G.H. Mumm’s iconic signature Cordon Rouge (the red ribbon on the glass and bottle) reflects the company’s heritage while establishing instant brand recognition among its competitors.
Regardless, if you are actually attending the main event over at Churchill Downs, or attending a “Kentucky Derby” themed party, don’t forget a few things: your best Spring/Summer suit, bright colors and having beautiful guest at your side doesn’t hurt.
