Finding Your Grain
- The hair in the mustache area and on the chin usually grows downward.
- Hair on the neck usually tends to grow upward and often slightly towards the center of the throat.
- Use your fingers to feel the direction of your hair’s growth. This ensures that you will be shaving with the grain on every stroke.
Keep in Mind
Each man has his own unique pattern of facial hair growth, and where there are a few similarities that apply to most gentlemen, you still need find your own pattern before shaving.
