National Tequila Day falls on a Sunday this year (July 24, 2016) and no better excuse to fight off the “Sunday Scaries” than with Mexico’s original luxury tequila, Tequila Don Julio! We reached out to a few mixologists to create the perfect cocktails for the occasion.
*Sugar Snap Pea Infused Tequila Don Julio Blanco

Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz Sugar Snap Pea Infused Tequila Don Julio Blanco*
- 2/3 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- 2/3 oz Fresh Mint and Sugar Snap Pea Syrup**
- Split Snap Pea for Garnish
Ingredients:
- 1 750 ml bottle Tequila Don Julio Blanco
- 100 g Fresh Snap Peas
- 1/2 Lemon Zested
Preparation:
- Combine split open fresh snap peas, Tequila Don Julio Blanco, and lemon zest into a large glass bottle.
- Let sit in a cool dark place for 2-4 days.
- Place bottle into a large pot of water and heat to 135 degrees for 4 hours.
- Strain contents through a fine strainer and let cool.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 oz Tequila Don Julio Blanco
- 1 oz Hibiscus and Passionfruit Infused Agave Syrup
- 3/4 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 1 Dash Pepper Bitters
- Orchid for Garnish
Preparation:
- Combine Tequila Don Julio Blanco, hibiscus, and passionfruit infused agave syrup, fresh lime juice, and pepper bitters into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well.
- Strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass.
- Garnish with orchid

Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz Tequila Don Julio Blanco
- 3/4 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 3/4 oz Fresh Honey Syrup
- 1 Dash Lavender Bitters
- Fresh Honey Comb for Garnish
Preparation:
- Combine Tequila Don Julio Blanco, fresh lime juice, honey syrup and lavender bitters in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well.
- Strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass.
- Garnish with fresh piece of honeycomb.
