Everyone is looking for new ways to cut out the middle man to create designer sunglasses, but sometimes doing things the old fashion way is, well, the best way. Eyewear brand Dom Verto maintains their tradition of creating quality frames by making sure all of their sunglasses are made by their Maestri in the Italian Alps.
While at the Pop Up Flea in NYC, I had the pleasure of meeting with the brands founder, Ashley Bezamat. As I purchased a pair of Dark Tort Matte Lupetto frames, Ashley walked me through the history of Dom Verto and why he decided to partner with craftsmen who have been producing optical glass since the 17th century. All of the frames in the Dom Verto collection are made out of the plant-based material Acetate. And the lenses are manufactured with crystal for optical clarity and crispness.
If you’re looking for an alternative to your favorite a pair of sunglasses, try a pair of hand-crafted Dom Verto’s for your collection.
