As we wrap up 2014 we all often think of what 2015 has in store for us. Most people typically fall into new gym memberships, a healthier diet and cutting off some of the people we that have either decided to walk away from or who has done us wrong. Either way we all want a New beginning.
I tend to often write and think the best while I have jazz playing in the background. However since I am always on the go, my iPhone has become my mobile notebook. My go-to pair of headphones for zoning out the world for Mile Davis would be my Master Dynamic MEO3 in-ear headphones. They are stylishly beautiful, sleek, and subtle in design. They fit securely in my ear, the bass is solid and cancels out enough outside noise for me to focus and write down a few “Getting back to me” goals for 2015.
Here are a few of my goals:
- I’ve always be into fitness and being healthy but with managing Gents Among Men and planning events, I’ve found myself slacking on this. I’ve also noticed my energy levels are not the same. While watching, Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead I became inspired to try juicing for a week to give my body what documentary director Joe Cross calls “a restart.” They say: you have to go back in order to move forward, and I think getting back to being physically fit and eating better will help me achieve more goals and think with a clearer head for the new year.
- Reading is something I need to do a lot more of. A good friend of mine Valentine, owner of Hipsternomics.com challenged me to read one book a month. He challenged me to read a few books outside of my targeted interest: war, strategy and all things Robert Greene, and try to expand my palate with books on business, faith and personal development.
- One thing I feel we all can use in our lives is inner peace. A Public Relations representative from Knock Twice PR gave me a device called, Muse to do just that. The wearable device helps you learn how to meditate and find your sense of calm. The trick is trying hear as many birds as you can though the artificial sounds of the ocean waves. The more birds you hear the calmer you are.
These are not my only goals for 2015, however these are the smaller core aspirations that I feel will allow me to achieve some of the larger ones ahead for the New Year.
