It’s always exciting to attend MAGIC/PROJECT marketplace, which joined forces this year to preview upcoming menswear collections from over hundreds of big and emerging brands from all over the world. We crawled the trade floor craving for something different among a sea of the same neutral greys, blacks and tans. With fall shopping vibes all the way up, here’s a recap of trends we found from colorful-camo prints, long-tailed flight jackets, earth-toned wool and leather shoes, and out-of-the-box travel & lifestyle accessories.
STANDOUT BRANDS
Our favorite brands stood out by offering something different in the space and they include a range of native American-style accessories from Res IPSA, Sabatter’s black & white spray painted sneakers, and SPIVEY’s tie pins and cufflinks made of quartz crystals.
POPS OF COLOR
Anderson’s braided and Maledetti Toscani’s earth-toned woven belts, leather totes, shoes and sneakers with colored laces, Chelsey Imports spray painted hats, and Bretelle & Braces colored skinny ties all tie a look together with the right amount of color accents.
THE ULTIMATE LEATHER JACKET
There’s no fall season without a black leather jacket and we were excited to see BALDWIN breakout an artsy spray painted version of the classic motorcycle jacket.
FLIGHT JACKETS STILL STRONG
90’s vibes remained strong with a new twist on flight jackets featuring FairPlay’s cool new mustard version and Weiv USA’s long-tailed and colored camo versions.
THE BASIC ESSENTIALS
It’s a necessity to rely on brands for must-have style staples to complete any look. R.B. Manville’s colored scarves and airy Hamptons-esque suit, JACHS New York colored casual khakis, TURMS leathered layered cooking apron, Good Man Brand’s clean, classic leather sneakers, and MOORE & GILES rugged collection of leather travel gear didn’t disappoint when it came to spotlighting basic essentials every guy needs for at home or on the go.
