Now that the weather is starting to show some consistency in NYC, I get the chance to wear some weather-appropriate clothing. As part of their spring campaign, I’ve partnered up with Banana Republic to showcase a couple of season ready looks.
We aren’t entirely into summer yet so the weather can be inconsistent, so the best option is to have a lightweight, unlined, garment-dyed field jacket nearby. The one thing I like about this jacket is exactly that. It is extremely thin. The beautifully crafted sturdy nylon fabric allows you to stuff it into your bag and without the worries of wrinkles. Along with a few other features such as the point collar with button closure, snap-tab cuffs, side adjustable tabs, two-way zip and snap-front closure and four external snap-flap pockets, this olive jacket is an excellent addition to your spring wardrobe.
As a secondary option, you can’t go wrong with a knitted bomber. I know it sounds odd, why wear a knitted bomber in the spring/summer? Well, if you live on the East Coast like me, the weather tends to change within the hour. So, you might find yourself needing a functional layer. Of course, you can go with the lightweight jacket above, or you can try this bomber instead. This SUPIMA® Cotton Ribbed Sweater Bomber comes in two colors, natural and dark charcoal. I opted for the natural color because the sun bounces off lighter colors. However, both are stylish enough to wear doing the day in the office over a t-shirt, or on the plane while traveling on the weekend.
What do you feel about these looks? Let me know your favorite below.
