Perhaps (or perhaps not) to your surprise, menswear designer John Varvatos is an enthusiast of Rock n’ Roll. His previous collections, colognes and campaign ads have always incorporate influence from the genre.
For his upcoming fall collection, Mr. Varvatos used the iconic rock band KISS as his latest inspiration. At Milan Fashion Week, KISS surprised the crowd and appeared on stage as the models walked out/rocked out to their hit, Rock and Roll All Night.
But back to the clothes. The collection was inspired by pieces KISS wore back when rock ruled all, as well as what Varvatos thought KISS would be wearing now if they were still actively touring. So yes, we’re talking leather jackets, three-piece peaked lapel suits, knee length biker boots, and small leather eye-wear accessories– all appropriately created for the true rock star in us all.
